The NESsT Central-Eastern Europe portfolio currently includes 18 social enterprises supported by both the NESsT Central-Eastern Europe Accelerator Program and the NESsT Violet Fund.
Wach joined NESsT in 2020 as a portfolio manager. He has been instrumental in broadening NESsT investment and acceleration work in Poland over the last five years. In 2022 he was promoted to lead the Refugee Employment Initiative, launched in partnership with IKEA Social Entrepreneurship and Cisco Foundation following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The initiative supported 12 enterprises working with refugees and migrants in Poland and Romania over three years.
In Wach’s time at NESsT, he has successfully closed 15 investment processes and scouted other impactful candidates that contribute to expanding social entrepreneurship in Poland. Notably, he managed NESsT portfolio enterprise Tango, a boutique digital agency with a global impact. The social enterprise provides 360° services to B2B and B2BC companies, encompassing product development with go-to-market and scaling strategies, along with design and programming for mobile and web apps. As a part of its commitment to supporting refugees and migrants, with Wach’s support, the company created programs to efficiently hire refugees from Ukraine with comprehensive relocation packages, legal and logistic support, accommodation upon arrival in Poland, mental health programs, and language classes.
Heading into the second half of 2025, NESsT Poland will invest in an additional seven social enterprises that create meaningful impact on a large scale, take care of geographical diversity, and support different vulnerable groups.
“We have an exciting track record in supporting impactful companies in Poland, and I’ve witnessed the clear need for our approach in the ecosystem,” said Wach. “As country director, my goal is to channel even more patient capital toward under-represented communities and to continue supporting entrepreneurs to embrace an impact-driven mindset.”
